Sponsorship Business Development Manager

Basic Salary £30,000 per annum (OTE £53,800)

We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial individual, who is results orientated, to join a fast paced, exciting and growing SME based in Chelmsford.

The Development Network is an international business, delivering an exciting mix of business to business (B2B) conferences and exhibitions, specialising in the Defence and Passenger Ship sectors. We’re looking for a hungry and determined individual to join our Sponsorship and Exhibition sales function.

The Role

As Sponsorship Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling exhibition space and sponsorship opportunities to corporate customers – both existing and prospective. You will strive to achieve and exceed agreed sales targets. Cultivating and managing relationships with exhibitors and sponsors throughout the year is also a key part of the role so you will be onsite during the conference period to manage relationships and ensure all contractual arrangements are met. International travel is an essential requirement.

What we need from YOU…

In return, we offer a generous starting salary of £30,000 per annum and a realistic OTE of £53,800, made up of event commission (which is uncapped) and quarterly bonuses. Your benefits would also include social team events, opportunities to travel internationally and help run our events and a generous 5% contribution to your pension scheme, 28 days holiday (incl. bank holidays), plus an extended paid break at Christmas.
